AfD participated for the first time in the annual Communities’ Fair of the International School of Geneva on 18 October 2017.
The International school of Geneva encourages its students to engage in various activities, including charitable causes as part of the curriculum. Every year, the school holds a Communities’ Fair, where student groups, companies, organizations and NGOs are invited to present themselves to the students.
Many children were eager to learn about Afghanistan and AfD’s work, and after fruitful discussions, expressed interest in doing a project with us. The children resonated in particular with our Street Children Back to School project, and came up with ideas to raise funds for this cause – such as a cake sale event, or making a short film.
AfD was truly inspired by the compassion of the children and look forward to seeing them blossom by helping fellow children in Afghanistan.
