AfD participated for the first time in the annual Communities’ Fair of the International School of Geneva on 18 October 2017. The International school of Geneva encourages its students to engage in various activities, including charitable causes as part of the curriculum. Every year, the school holds a Communities’ Fair, where student groups, companies, organizations and NGOs are invited to present themselves to the students.
We caught up with pediatrician Dr. Zabi Rahimi in Geneva, who has been training midwives for over ten years, and for AfD since 2014. He told us about the importance of midwifery and his work in women and children’s health in Afghanistan.
We would like to announce that our Annual Report 2016 is finally out!
We are pleased to announce the recent graduation of Community Health Workers in our health facility in Kabul. 10 women were trained by AfD from 6 – 20 May in providing health education and first aid to the communities.
