{"id":1959,"date":"2020-01-09T14:18:56","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T13:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.actfordev.org\/?p=1959"},"modified":"2021-01-15T18:13:29","modified_gmt":"2021-01-15T17:13:29","slug":"afd-trains-midwives-in-the-kapisa-province","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actfordev.org\/french\/afd-trains-midwives-in-the-kapisa-province\/","title":{"rendered":"L'Action for Development forme des sages-femmes dans la province de Kapisa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Action for Development provides training for midwives in the Kapisa Province of Afghanistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">From the 7th to the 13th of December 2019, Action for Development provided training to 20 midwives selected in the province of Kapisa; following our cascade-model\u00a0approach, these midwives will train an additional number of midwives in their communities, for an estimated total of 100 midwives trained\u00a0in the province by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The training included a two-day residency at the provincial hospital of Kapisa and it was officially recognized by the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Action for Development&#8217;s efforts in supporting nurses and midwives in Afghanistan since 2014 is in line with the initiative launched by WHO for 2020; in fact, the World Health Assembly has designated 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.
